I see only numbers and cards. How do I use other guess sets?

The switcher at the top of the main screen starts with just Cards and Numbers. Everything else you add shows up there too. The quickest way is the + button beside the switcher, which opens Ready-made sets directly (if it isn't showing, turn on Show add-set button in Settings → Guess sets). Or go through Settings:

1. Open Settings → Guess sets → Manage guess sets.
2. Tap +, then Ready-made sets.
3. Pick a set — Zener Cards, Shapes, Colours, Rock Paper Scissors, or Zodiac Signs — and tap Add to my guess sets.

It now appears in the switcher, ready to play. If a set you added isn't showing there, open it from Manage guess sets and turn on Show in main view. (You can also build your own set from photos — see below.)

How do I create a new guess set with my own images?

1. Go to Settings → Guess sets → Manage guess sets.
2. Tap +, then Image set.
3. In the New image set dialog, enter a name and tap Create.
4. On the set's screen, tap + and add pictures from Photo library, Camera, or Files — several at once if you like.

Quicker from the main screen: the + button beside the switcher opens Ready-made sets, where Empty set, below the ready-made ones, creates the same empty image set — it offers the name My images and switches to it, and the pictures go in as in step 4 above. The main screen calls it Empty set, while Manage guess sets calls it Image set.

To reorder or lay them out, tap Arrange. To keep a picture in the set but out of the answers, touch and hold it and choose Don't use in game. To pick the image shown while the value is hidden, touch and hold it and choose Mark as “?” placeholder.

How do I send an image set to a friend by email or a messaging app?

Image sets export as a single .guesset file that keeps the pictures, their order, and the layout.

1. Open Settings → Guess sets → Manage guess sets.
2. Touch and hold the set (or tap Edit), then choose Export….
3. In the share sheet, pick Mail, Messages, another messaging app, or AirDrop — or Save to Files to keep a copy.

Your friend taps the file they receive and opens it with Intuition Check; it lands in their Manage guess sets as an independent copy. Cards and Numbers are built in, so they don't need to be shared.

Someone sent me a .guesset file — how do I open it?

Tap the file in Mail, Messages, Files, or the AirDrop prompt and choose to open it with Intuition Check. It's imported as your own copy and appears in Settings → Guess sets → Manage guess sets and in the switcher. If the file is already in Files, you can also import it from inside the app: Settings → Guess sets → Manage guess sets → + → Import from file.

Where is the partner game?

Open it with the two-person button at the top-left of the main view, or from Settings → Partner game → Open partner game. If the button isn't showing, turn on Show partner game button in Settings.

How do I play the partner game?

1. On both iPhones, turn on Wi-Fi and open the Partner game screen (two-person button at the top-left, or Settings → Partner game → Open partner game).
2. Each phone shows the other under Seen nearby and they connect automatically.
3. Choose what to play with under Play with — cards, numbers, or one of your image sets.
4. Pick a role: I'll choose a card / number / image or I'll try to guess. Your partner gets the opposite role.
5. The chooser taps a value, the guesser taps a guess, and both phones show Correct! or Not this time. Tap Play again to continue.

If you play with one of your image sets, your partner is asked to Download it first — it's used only for the partner game and never changes their own sets.

Does the partner game count towards my statistics?

Not right now. Statistics record only your solo rounds — partner-game rounds aren't added to them. It's something we're considering for a future release, so if you'd like it, write to [email protected] and let us know.

Do both phones need to be on the same Wi-Fi network?

It's not strictly required, but it's the best setup. Make sure Wi-Fi is on for both phones. If they're on the same Wi-Fi network you get the most stable connection, and the phones can be anywhere on that network. With no shared network, they still connect directly to each other — just keep them close together. In both cases the two phones talk only to each other — the app uses no servers at all.

The partner game can't find the other phone. What do I check?

Both phones need the app open on the Partner game screen with Wi-Fi on, and both must have allowed local-network access. The same Wi-Fi network is most reliable; guest and public networks (hotels, cafés) often block phone-to-phone traffic. The full checklist is on the support page.

The main view feels crowded. Can I hide some of it?

Yes — nearly every switcher and button on the main view can be turned off in Settings, so you can pare it back to just the value and the reveal. Each toggle sits in its related Settings section, shown here as section → toggle:

• Mode and play style → Show switcher — one for the passive / active switcher, one for the One by one / Quick pick / Series switcher.
• Quick pick → Show grid options button — the layout button above the Quick pick grid.
• Guess sets → Show switcher — the set picker at the top.
• Guess sets → Show add-set button and Show set settings button — the + and gear beside the set picker.
• Your state → Note your state during rounds — the state bar.
• One by one → Show hint — the line of guidance under the value.
• Appearance and feedback → Show guess set options — the value-shaping row like deck size or number range.
• Statistics → Show statistics button — the chart button.
• Partner game → Show partner game button — the two-person button.
• Clear view → Show button — the button that hides every control.

Two more ways to declutter: hide an individual guess set from the switcher with its own Show in main view toggle, and use clear view — touch and hold anywhere (or the eye button) to hide all controls for a calm, distraction-free session, then touch and hold again to bring them back.

Can I turn off the little bounce when I tap a value?

Yes. By default the value gives a brief pulse when you reveal or tap it. To stop it, open Settings → Appearance and feedback and turn off Pulse animation on tap. Nothing else changes — the screen just stays still.

Do I have to hide each value before the next one? Can I skip the “?” step?

Yes. By default a tap reveals the value, and the next tap hides it (back to the “?”) before you can reveal again. Turn on Settings → One by one → Reveal without hiding and each tap reveals the next value directly, with no “?” in between.

What's the difference between passive and active?

In passive (reading) the value is chosen before you look, and you try to read what it already is. In active (willing) nothing is chosen until you reveal, and you try to will a value into being. They're scored separately in your statistics.

What is “Quick pick”?

Instead of showing one value at a time, Quick pick lays out the whole set as a grid. One cell is secretly correct each round — land on it and it lights up green and/or buzzes, while a miss stays silent. It works with cards, numbers, and images. Switch between it and One by one on the main screen; turn the flash and buzz on or off under Settings → Appearance and feedback → Hit feedback.

I restarted the app and my statistics are gone. Why?

That's the default: statistics stay in memory and cover only the current session, so they're cleared when you quit the app. To keep them, open Settings and, in the Statistics section, turn on Save statistics on device. From then on, rounds are kept between launches.

Rounds you already played before turning it on are saved too — the switch writes the current session to disk. Rounds from earlier sessions that were never saved can't be recovered, since they were never written down.

How do I keep my statistics between launches?

Turn on Save statistics on device in Settings. Everything is still computed on your device from your own rounds — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

I turned off “Save statistics on device” and lost my saved rounds.

Turning it off deletes the statistics saved on the device — the app warns you first with Stop saving statistics? and the button Delete saved statistics. After that, only rounds played since you last opened the app remain, and new rounds won't be saved once you quit. There's no undo, so leave the setting on if you want to keep a history.

Why is nothing showing up in my statistics?

Rounds are only recorded when guess tracking is on. Open Settings → One by one → Guess tracking and, under Method, choose either Mark yourself (tap Correct or Wrong after each reveal) or Enter your guess (pick your guess before revealing, and it's scored automatically). Reveals you skip without marking aren't counted.

Why does it say it needs more rounds before judging me against chance?

The verdict — whether you're genuinely beating chance or just riding a lucky run — needs about 20 recorded rounds before it means anything, so the app waits until then. You'll still see your hit rate and other figures before that; only the luck-or-skill verdict holds back.

How do I clear or reset my statistics?

Open the statistics screen (Settings → Statistics → View statistics, or the statistics button in the main view) and scroll to the bottom. Use Clear statistics for “…”… to clear one guess set, Delete the … filtered rounds… to remove only the rounds matching the current filters (one state, one period, one play style), or Clear all statistics… for everything. This deletes recorded rounds only — your guess sets and their settings are untouched. It can't be undone.

Can I look at statistics for just one guess set or mode?

Yes. At the top of the statistics screen you can filter by Guess set, Mode (Passive intuition / Active intuition), Play style (One by one / Quick pick), Period, and State. Passive and active are also compared side by side so you can see which one you're better at.

What is the state bar, and what does it do for my statistics?

The state bar in the main view lets you note how you are right now — Rested or Tired, Calm or Stressed, Confident or Doubtful, Focused or Scattered, your mood, and circumstances such as After coffee or After exercise. What you note is stamped on every round you play from then on, until you change it. When it's forgotten — at the next launch, after a pause, or never — is set with Reset noted state in Settings → Your state.

The statistics screen then compares your rounds by state (and by time of day), lets you filter by state, and shows under each streak the state you had noted during it. The built-in states are a starting point: under Settings → Your state → Manage states you can rename, reorder, add or hide states and switch whole axes off. To remove the bar entirely, turn off Note your state during rounds.

What should I keep in mind when reading my statistics?

The app can tell you whether your results depart from pure chance, but it can't tell you why — that part is for you to explore. A few things may be worth considering, all of them possibilities rather than settled facts:

• Your state may matter. You might do differently just after waking, late at night before sleep, when rested versus tired, or when calm versus stressed. Note your state in the state bar as you play — the statistics then compare your rounds by state and by time of day, which can show whether there's a pattern for you.
• Confidence may play a part. Feeling sure of yourself, or full of self-doubt, could line up with how you score.
• Below chance is also a departure from chance. If you land right noticeably less often than random guessing would predict, that's a deviation too — one reading is that intuition is, in a sense, working against you in that moment, rather than that nothing is happening.
• Some values may behave differently. When choosing, people often lean towards certain values and avoid others, rather than spreading evenly. And you might guess some values right far more than others — even some you pick just as often, which one could read as intuition favouring or avoiding particular values on its own. The per-value breakdown in your statistics shows both — how often each value is picked, and how often each is guessed right.

Either way, a single session says little: small numbers of rounds swing widely by luck alone, which is why the app waits for about 20 rounds before offering a verdict, and why more rounds make it steadier. Treat the figures as something to notice and experiment with, not as a fixed measure of yourself.

Are my photos or results sent anywhere?

No. There are no accounts, no servers, and no tracking. Your image sets, settings, and results stay on your device. In the partner game the two phones talk only to each other over the local network, and the only thing shared is the round state — plus the image set itself if you choose to play with one. What does it cost, and how do I subscribe or cancel?

The app is free to download with one hour of in-app time to try everything; if it runs out before you have decided, the subscription screen lets you reset it for another hour, up to 3 times. After that it's a monthly or yearly subscription, with the price shown in the App Store before you subscribe. It is Family Sharing–enabled for up to five people. Subscriptions are billed by Apple — manage or cancel them under iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. More on billing and restoring purchases is on the support page.

The subscription feels too cheap for what I get. Can I give more to show my thanks?

Yes. Open Settings → Subscription → Say thanks, where you can leave an optional thank-you in the amount you choose. It's simply a way to say thank you if you feel like it — nothing more. It isn't a payment for anything and it doesn't unlock any features.
